Mrs. Mariam an MG costumer who’s an owner of a MG 3 AMT 2014, the car’s warranty happens to be expired.

On reaching there, the service team offered to drop her home (as the team had come from their homes and the service center was closed). One of the drivers accompanied the customer to her home, while the other driver arranged for a tow truck to lift the car to the service center. 
Early the next morning, a replacement car was delivered to her home before the time that she usually goes to her workplace.

Her own car was then inspected and it was found that the selector of the AMT was broken. Since this car was no longer under warranty, subject approvals for repairs were taken and the car repaired.

The car was then delivered to the customers office on the very same day and the replacement car collected back. 
The speed of repair and the courtesy offered to the customer in terms of assistance at late night even though she did not have a assistance package were highly appreciated by the customer and her family.

This push and initiative by the service team lead the customer to opt for another MG car when her Husband was planning to purchase a car for himself. He opted to buy a MG 750FL for himself.
The service centre received the vehicle on 30 Apr 2016 with the said concern – faulty IPK display. As is the SOP, we raised the Service Now case no-2120016-20160324-01, and SNW team advised that the faulty component needs to be replaced. On checking the warranty dates it was noticed that the manufacturer warranty had just lapsed. As per policy and guidelines we were right in asking the customer to bear the cost of the replacement. However, the customer, rightfully so, was extremely upset especially since he believed that this fault was a perennial issue with MG vehicles for
which customers should not be penalised.   

The MG Service centre Oman then immediately spoke with Mr Chen Shubo- Aftersales Director for the Middle East Market and informed him about this specific case. Mr Shubo immediately promised assistance and after necessary internal approvals managed to provide us with goodwill support towards solving the customer’s problem.

The customer was extremely pleased with our efforts in going beyond our responsibilities and ensuring the best quality of service. He was delighted with the repairs which were promptly carried out with MG Support. His pleasure has also resulted in his recommending the MG brand to other prospective customers.
